Every bride-in-waiting dreams of how spectacular her big day will be and for me, it’s was no different.
Serving you this yummy dark chocolate on a platter of gold!!!
As promised fam; here are the full deets…
koyó…
Just kidding! I didn’t get married -yet.
I’m too dramatic for a quiet or simple wedding, If I say so myself.
However, now that I know how stunning I’d look on my big day, this bride price just went up! Literally…
I should have been a model but my love for pounded yam and egusi soup with assorted meat and turkey will betray me. It’s not easy sucking belle in…
Ób’ókhían (Welcome)
Vbèè óye hé? (How are you/how is it?)
Home is not a place but a feeling.
It is that which sets your soul at ease and brings indescribable happiness and genuine support.
My family is my home and being as my family is from Benin City, Edo state – that is the location I will constantly choose to fall in love with.
Regardless of how others may see it, I am proud to be from a heritage of such rich culture and undiluted beauty.
Ovbi Edo’s are a strong, determined, proud and authentic people.
We cannot be silenced and we take responsibility for our actions and of ours…
You cannot put us in a corner.
I am not blindsided to the fact that in recent times, the nation seems to be turningoneown (chaotic) but we are still one nation – one people.
One Nigeria… now and always.
Although this series is mainly centered around the Benin culture and Edo people in general, let us not forget that we ought to love and respect one another as one race, one culture.
Be it; Ibo, Yoruba or Hausa; let us come together during this difficult times to explore our uniqueness and grow as a people.
Sending peace and love to you and yours on this fine Sunday.
Ladies and gentlemen; we have officially come to the end of the Ovbi Edo series… I hope you enjoyed viewing it as much as I did writing it.
Ovbi Edo kpataki signing out…
